Andrea Smith
Biography
My name is Andrea Smith, I live in Winnipeg where I am a student at the University of Manitoba. I volunteer with the Osteoperosis society.
Currently I work at a gym and spend the majority of my day training, working or studying!
Growing up I was a swimmer, and always had a love of fitness but I never felt that I truly looked or played the part. When I was living in Victoria, BC I met a fitness competitor named Michele Jean-Pierre, I was inspired by her physique and decided then and there I was going to start competing.
To date I have competed in two shows with the WBFF and look forward to many more shows in 2010, (bikini and fitness categories)- Keep a lookout for me at the WBFF Alberta championships in July and WBFF Worlds show in Toronto in September 2010! I would love to compete in a Tri-Fitness Competition in the future, and I am hoping to do my first half-marathon this year.
I have the best family and friends in the world, and an amazing boyfriend! Thank you for being my biggest fan Travis! <3
A HUGE thank you Caine Gilholm and Paul Anthony Neil for being not just my trainers and biggest source of motivation, but for always being there and helping me stay focused.
Also I would like to thank Julie and Craig Bonnett for helping me find my passion for fitness and getting me started!
Last but not least, I would like to thank Allison and Paul Dillett for creating these amazing opportunities for aspiring fitness athletes.
I had the honour and privilege to be named one of the top Hot and Fit 100 in Canada, in Inside Fitness Magazine for 2009. I am a sponsored Cygen Labs Athlete, and look forward to this upcoming season.
I know none of this would be possible if I didn’t compete with the BEST OF THE BEST—–

“There’s a difference between interest and commitment. When you’re interested in doing something you do it only when circumstance permits. When you’re committed to something you accept no excuses, only results.”

Such a beautiful woman in every way – congrats, Andrea! I know you had a challenging few weeks just prior to the WBFF World event and Craig & I am so proud of you for staying true to your dreams and reaching your goals! Can’t wait to see what the future holds for this rising star!
