Biography

My name is Teresa Bragado Sousa and I am 40 years old and a mother of 2. I was always into fitness but never to the point of competing. That all changed in July 2008 when I decided I wanted to do a show so I hired a personal trainer who provided me with tools necessary to achieve my goal. With a training and nutrition program in hand, I set out to do two shows that year. The first show I entered, I won (Fitness Star – Level 1 Masters Fitness Model). The second show I entered was the WBFF World Championships. I came in 5th in Figure over 35. Participating in these two shows gave me a taste of what’s to come.

I believe that only hard work gets you to the end results. There are no shortcuts.

Some of my prior achievements:
- CFL Toronto Argonauts Blue Thunder Cheerleader (3 year veteran) – Hold the title of being the oldest cheerleader to date at the age of 37 years. First two years, I cheered at age 21 and 22 then 15 years later, after tryouts with 160 ladies, I made the team.
- NFL Buffalo Bills Cheerleader (cheered in 2 Superbowls and the American Bowl in Berlin, Germany) – First Canadian to be on a NFL Cheerleading Team
- Mrs. Canada International 2006
- Toronto Sunshine Girl Page 3 – 13 times (I think I hold the record)
