SPANISH "GET LEAN” OMELET
Ingredients
10 egg whites
1/2 cup salsa
1/4 cup grated fat-free
cheddar cheese
Nonstick butter-flavored cooking spray
GOAL: Fat-burning
WHEN TO EAT IT: Any mealtime; it works well for dinner, since a fat-burning diet plan requires eating low carbs later in the
day.
HOW TO MAKE IT: Coat a non-stick skillet with cooking spray and place over medium heat. Beat egg whites in a bowl, then
pour them into skillet and cook 3-4 minutes without stirring until eggs begin to set. Top evenly with salsa and cheese, then use
a spatula to fold eggs in half over toppings. Cook 2-3 minutes or until cooked through.
SIDE DISH: If you’re not on a low carb diet, serve your omelet with two slices of whole-wheat toast or one whole-wheat English
muffin.
NUTRITION FACTS (per omelet): 250 calories, 46 g protein, 12 g carbs, 0 g fat, 2 g fiber
