JUDGING CRITERIA

The WBFF judging criteria for the figure category is as follows. There are two rounds which are judged, the two-piece bikini round as well as the themewear round . There is no routine round for the Diva Figure category. Contestants are encouraged to display their body in a fluid and appealing way during their stage walk presentation. The ideal figure model physique represents a desirably more full, lean, and strong, deeper defined toned look that is natural, and more muscularly defined than a Diva Fit Model.

rOUNDS

1. Two-Piece Bikini Round: Any color, pattern, and style, as well as conservatively presentable. Thongs or any other styles that fit too small on the bottom are deemed inappropriate and absolutely not permitted.

2. Themewear Round: Diva Figure Models are required to bring a creative and glamorous themewear to the stage. Different ideas include: Sophisticated Glamour, Vegas Cabaret style, MET GALA Fashion inspired individual creative theme. This is definitely a very creative and glamorous round for Diva Fitness Models to display their beauty and style with a strong component of fashion. In our efforts to be respectful of all cultures and beliefs we prohibit any cultural appropriation of any sort used for themewear or stage costume. Selection of themewear should reflect a personal style that is unique to the individual and is thoughtfully selected and respectful of all cultural practices, beliefs and customs.

Judging BREAKDOWN:

Contestants will be judged on the category criteria elements above. Contestants will be given a score from 1-10 based on each of the following criteria: physique based on criteria above of a score between 1-10, marketability 1-5 , overall stage presentation technique 1-10, and a score of 1-5 on the Fashion Themewear Round. In our efforts to be respectful of all cultures and beliefs we prohibit any cultural appropriation of any sort used for themewear or stage costume. Selection of themewear should reflect a personal style that is unique to the individual.

WBFF RUNWAY MODEL:

FEMALE RUNWAY MODELS ARE EVALUATED BASED ON A COMBINATION OF PHYSICAL ATTRIBUTES, CONFIDENCE , POISE AND OVERALL STAGE PRESENCE.  CRITERIA INCLUDES

1.) Model Physique : WHILE NOT  FOCUSED ON ANY SORT OF PARTICULAR FITNESS LEVEL AS IN BIKINI OR FITNESS CATEGORIES FEMALE RUNWAY MODELS ARE EXPECTED TO HAVE A TONED HEALTHY AND WELL PROPORTIONED BODY. THIS INCLUDES AN EMPHASIS ON A HEALTHY AND NATURAL APPEARANCE.

2.) CONFIDENCE AND POISE: CONFIDENCE ON THE RUNWAY IS PARAMOUNT. WBFF  RUNWAY MODELS SHOULD EXUDE SELF ASSURANCE, GRACE AND ELEGANCE DURING THEIR WALKS,  TURNS AND POSES.

3.) RUNWAY WALK- THE WAY A MODEL CARRIES HERSELF ON A RUNWAY IS CRUCIAL.  A STRONG CONFIDENT , AND GRACEFUL WALK IS ESSENTIAL, ALONG WITH THE ABILITY TO SHOWCASE CLOTHING EFFECTIVELY ON THE RUNWAY.

4.) STAGE PRESENCE & FACIAL EXPRESSIONS- FEMALE RUNWAY MODELS SHOULD CAPTIVATE THE AUDIENCE WITH THEIR WBFF STAGE PRESENCE. MAINTAINING A STRONG CONNECTION WITH THEIR AUDIENCE, PHOTOGRAPHERS AND JUDGES.  BEING ABLE TO OWN THE STAGE AND PROJECTING STRONG CONFIDENT ENERGY. MODELS SHOULD CONVEY A RANGE OF APPROPRIATE FACIAL EXPRESSIONS, ALIGNING WITH THE MOOD AND THEME OF THE FASHION THEY ARE MODELLING. THEIR EXPRESSIONA ADDS DEPTH TO THE PRESENTATION.

5.) ADAPTABILITY TO FASHION THEMES: MODELS SHOULD BE VERSATILE TO BE ABLE TO ADAPT TO DIFFERENT FASHION THEMES AND STYLES. SHOWCASING BOTH CASUAL AND FORMAL WEAR WITH EQUAL FLAIR.

MALE RUNWAY MODEL:

JUDING CRITERIA

THE MALE MODEL CATEGORY WILL BE EVALUATED BASED ON A COMBINATION OF PHYSICAL ATTRIBUTES , CHARISMA AND OVERALL PRESENTATION. 

PHYSIQUE: A SLIGHTLY DEFINED PROPORTIONATE PHYSIQUE, FIT AND HEALTHY LOOKING. MUSCULARITY IS NOT AS DEFINED HOWEVER MODELS DO EXUDE A HEALTHY AND FIT LOOK.  DEMONSTRATING A COMMITTMENT TO A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE ACKNOWLEDGE ABOUT FITNESS AND NUTRITION.

CONFIDENCE: THE MODEL EXUDES CONFIDENCE ON THE RUNWAY. MODELS SHOULD CARRY THEMSELVES WITH POISE AND SELF ASSURANCE AND STYLE THAT MATCHES THE EXCELLENCE OF THE WBFF BRAND

GROOMING, PRESENTATION AND CHARISMA: A WINING PERSONALITY THAT ENGAGES THE AUDIENCE AND JUDGES. IMPECCABLE GROOMING AND STRONG SESNE OF PERSONAL STYLE ARE ESSENTIAL. MODELS SHOULD SHOWCASE THEIR UNIQUE FASHION SENSE AND ATTENTION TO DETAIL IN THEIR OVERALL PRESENTATION 

STAGE PRESENCE: HOW WELL A MALE MODEL COMMANDS THE STAGE, INCLUDING WALKING, POSING AND SHOWCASING THEIR PHYSIQUE.  MODELS SHOULD BE VERSATILE AND ABLE TO ADAPT TO DIFFERENT FASHION STYLES AND THEMES. VERSATILITY IN BOTH CASUAL AND FORMAL WEAR IS APPRECIATED.

Runway Modelling is one of the largest most diverse fields of modeling. This is a very specialized but lucrative area of modeling.

Eligebility

• Age: 18-45

Competition Stage Guidelines

All selected finalists will be expected to model in front of a panel of esteemed judges on stage Contestants will be expected to model in two rounds

Rounds

1. Swimwear Round: All contestants must wear a one piece bikini swimsuit, and high heels, 5-6 inches, that compliment the contestant. No thongs, lace lingerie, nylons, or aerobic clothing. Each contestant will perform a runway walk. No constant posing or dancing will be permitted. Music will be provided for all contestants. Judging will be on healthy body tone, shape, beauty marketability and overall stage presence.

2. RUNWAY FASHION Round: Contestants are required to wear an outfit in either black, white or color combination. Too much print is not advised as it may become distracting. Each contestant will perform a runway walk. Standard runway music will be provided. No bouncy or constant posing is allowed. Judging will be on poise, posture, personality, projection, runway techniques and the ability to walk and turn gracefully while creating seamless transitions on stage.

MALE FITNESS

Judging Criteria

The WBFF will be judging Male Fitness Models on their masculine style, marketability, stage presence and overall fitness. They will also be judged on their ability to display their character, style and self-confidence. Male Fitness Models will be expected to show off their physical attributes and streamline muscular development that project a fit and healthy lifestyle. The desired looks for this category is a conditioned, lean, well-proportioned symmetrically toned, and healthy looking physique.

rOUNDS

1. Mens Fitness physique judging round - Gentleman will wear square cut WBFF trunks exclusively designed for this round. They are the suggested choice for Male Fitness Model contestants.

2.Runway Round: All Male Fitness Model contestants are required to wear formal attire that is smart and fashionable. Contestants are expected to present themselves in a runway style fashion that displays a unique fashion element. Casual attire is not permitted. Mens personal grooming and attractiveness are also components of this round.

Judging BREAKDOWN:

Male Fitness Models will be scored 1-10 on marketability, 1-10 on their physique, 1-5 on their technique and stage presentation and 1-5 on their fashion runway round.

MALE MUSCLE

Judging Criteria

This category is for the athlete who is too big to be considered as a fitness model but does display muscle definition and more size. This category focuses more on the physique component of the judging. Muscle Models are judged on overall physique, conditioning, symmetry, and muscle definition. Contestants may also choose to crossover into the Male Fitness Model category if they wish.

1. Mens Muscle physique judging round: Gentleman will wear Square cut WBFF trunks. These are exclusively designed shorts. These are the suggested choice for Male Muscle Model contestants.

2. Runway Round: All Male Muscle Model contestants are required to wear formal attire and are expected to present themselves in a runway style fashion for this category. Casual attire is not permitted.

Judging BREAKDOWN:

Muscle Models are primarily judged on their physique and overall muscularity and development. Men are judged also on their muscularity , conditioning and overall symmetry. Mens scores are more heavily weighted on their physique scores of 1-10, technique 1-5 and marketability scores 1-5.

MENS PHYSIQUE MODEL

JUDGING CRITERIA

This category is for the athlete who is too big to be considered as a fitness model but does display muscle definition and more size. This category focuses primarily  on the physique component of the judging as well as the balance and symmetry of the physique. Contestants are judged on overall physique, conditioning, symmetry, and muscle definition. The look of the body is not as lean and streamline but more of a fuller look that is more developed than a fitness model.  Contestants may also choose to crossover into the Male Fitness Model  or Muscle Model category if they wish to gain  a better idea of where their body fits best. 

ROUNDS

1.    Mens physique judging round: Gentleman will wear Square cut WBFF trunks. These are exclusively designed shorts. These are the suggested choice for Male Muscle Model contestants. Judging based on the scoring breakdown below.

2.    Runway Round: All Male Physique  Model contestants are required to wear formal attire and are expected to present themselves in a runway style fashion for this category. Casual attire is not permitted.

SCORING BREAKDOWN:

Physique  Models are primarily judged on their physique and overall muscularity and development. Men are judged also on their body tone and overall muscle development, conditioning and symmetry. Scores are more heavily weighted on their physique scores of 1-10, technique 1-5 and marketability scores 1-5 and their runway score 1-5 for a total possibility  of  25 points

Criteria for WBFF Ink Model- Males and Female

• All tattoos need to be in good taste and nothing offending groups of people or individuals.  Please understand that offensive tattoos will not be permitted on stage.

• There are no specific height requirements for this category you can also cross over from amateur/ professional.

• Approx. a min of 20-30% of the body should be  covered – ( examples: leg sleeve and back piece, 2 arm sleeves and major tattoo, torso tattoo)  

• There are two rounds to this event, Swimwear- Ink and Evening wear or Individual Fashion Style  Runway Round. Any outfit that adds to your personal style that looks unique for the stage.

• The looks:  Beach body ready,   The focus on this category is a mainstream inked model look! Celebrate your authenticity and strength. Join the movement where individuality meets fashion and INK excellence. Setting new standards for beauty and self expression.

Transformation category will be a part of most shows this season.

You will be asked to bring along with you to the contestants sign in a flash drive with your 3 best before photos, only, along with a short written bio on yourself explaining how much weight loss/gain you have made, and your personal journey to the stage. A transformation bio form will also be sent to contestants prior to an event that is to be filled out.

The Transformation category is not just about weight loss: it could also be for individuals overcoming anorexia/bulimia, disease, cancer, mental health disorders, and other health disorders. This event is a true celebration of a personal journey to a more healthy lifestyle.  We celebrate the individual and provide a platform to display themselves and their transformation.

Details for this division are as follows:

All participants must be at least 18 years of age and older, any gender, religion or ethnicity

Contestants will be judged on their personal story and weight loss transformation

Weight loss can be anywhere from 10 pounds to over 100 plus pounds

Contestants will present themselves on stage at the WBFF live show

Contestants must submit at registration day a 100 word or less write up about their personal story.

**Contestants must bring a printed hard copy of their personal story at registration including their total weight loss and also a flash drive with your before photos on it.

rOUNDS

Contestants will be presented live on stage where the final result of their transformation will be revealed.

1. Swimwear Round:  2 piece or one piece personal choice – any suit that compliments the contestant and is classy. Shoes worn must also complement the contestants outfit.  3-5 inch heels preferred.  For males: square WBFF trunks with bare feet, sandals, or sport shoes that also fit the attire.

2. Final Round: stage walk with all transformation contestants. Attire for this round is any fashionable outfit of your choice, it can be a nice outfit, suit, dress shirt, or gown.
